ReCode at HSSM

Houston Memory ReCode Center: Improving Cognitive Decline

Who Can Benefit from the ReCode Protocol?

There are many people who could benefit from the ReCode Protocol, such as anyone with:

memory loss, cognitive decline, brain fog, word finding difficulty

family history of Alzheimer’s or dementia

high risk APOe4 gene alleles

hormone deficiencies

cardiovascular disease

head injury/concussion

toxic burden due to heavy metals or mold and Lyme

nutritional deficiencies

significant inflammation

Generally, the earlier the treatment for cognitive decline starts, the better. The typical patient is in the early stages of cognitive decline and subjectively recognizes that they are experiencing memory issues which may not be evident to others. Other patients have a family history of cognitive decline and wish to take a proactive approach to prevent memory loss. Candidates are also those with moderate to severe memory loss who are looking to possibly slow the progression or attempt to improve cognitive function.

Summary

Cognitive decline is caused by a combination of many factors. It is becoming more prevalent in our modern world, due to a variety of factors, many of which involve lifestyle. In the past there was little hope for people with Alzheimer’s disease, however the ReCode program has documented impressive success. The ReCode protocol is a comprehensive program that includes nutritional, exercise, sleep management, stress management, and brain stimulation therapies.
